I have not located your Heinrich Knippa in our data base, but I did look at some census records on the Rordorf family of Fayette County, TX. I found a Mathilda Rordork in the 1900 census living in the community of Black Jack Springs, Fayette County. She was living with her daughter Bertha Melcher. Mathilda was 52, born in October 1848 in Germany. She came to the USA in 1860. She had 9 children as 7 were still living on June 13, 1900 the day of the census. Mathilda was listed as the landlord of the farm.
Bertha (b. Mar 1867) was divorced and had six children but only five were still living:
Henry (b. Nov 1886)
Leo (b. Feb 1888)
Conrad(b. Aug. 1890)
Salina (b. Jun2 1892)
Myrtle (b. Jan 1995)
Also a nephew of Bertha's was living with them - a Wallace Smith - 3 years of age.
Hana, you should be able to locate this Rordorf family in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 US Census records. Have you used the Clayton Library in Houston, TX. They should have the marriage records for Fayette County.
Good luck on your searching.
