My branch of the Knisley family were Germans who settled first in Virginia, then Ohio. I visited Chilocothe, Ohio about 20 years ago and the cemeteries were full of them.

I am from the branch of Jacob Knisley, a soldier in the Revolutionary War. I can research further as I have the papers here at home.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Many of my relatives live in either Washington or Kansas now.

C. Dean
