My name is Ronald Nicely and I have completed a lot of research on the Knusli family name. I suspect that id you have a relationship to a Knicsley or Knicely you are probably related to me. The name started out in Zurick Switzerland as Knusli with the u being an umla. The earliest ancestor I have at present is Hans Knussli who was born in 1628, He moved to Eggiwil and then later to Alsace. He probably died there and his son Antonius Knussli left Alsace in 1717 and traveled to Rotterdam, then to England and then to Philadephia on a ship with a large number of Mennonites. He settler on land about 1 mile wast of current day Lancaster, PA. From there his sons and daughters spread out all over the US and into Canada. There were 2 who moved to Canada a David and a Daniel Kneisley and they had large families and I suspect one of them would be your ancestor. If you are related to them i probably have 6,000 or more people who are related to you. If you want the full history that I have please contact me at
