Sorry, I do not have any additional information to share with you. I am trying to connect to the Knobel family via Christiaan Knuppel. Family lore has it that his surname was Knobel and was changed in the Dutch East Indies back in the 1790's.

Christiaan Knuppel, captain of the schooner, Jonge Nicolaas, possibly born in Amsterdam about 1783; wife unknown at this time. Lived in Java, Dutch East Indies, by 1813. Father of one child, found so far, Anthonij. Information on the Jonge Nicolaas: 60 ton schooner, owned by C. Fleyer. Also he was the captain of the Maria Louisa sailing out of Batavia in 1814.
