Looking for ancestors of great-grandfather, George Knopp, born bet. 1853 & 1859. 1880 census of Gloucester County, New Jersey, lived with Munyon family, listed as laborer. Married Anna Fish Sept. 6, 1882, Kemble Methodist Church, Woodbury, NJ. No parents listed on marriage certificate. Children - Eli Allen, Charles, Benjamin, Margaret, and twins, George and Orville. Died Feb., 1894. Buried Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. Death certificate lists his parents as Joseph and Kate. The census records of 1900 show that he was born in PA. The 1910 and 1920 census records show he was born in NJ. The 1880 census records show that his parents were born in NJ. He worked as a powder maker at duPont in Gibbstown, NJ. He belonged to 3 organizations: Knights of Pythias, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Ancient Order of United Workmen. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
