Hi Margaret,

Thank you for your e-mail, it has been nice to hear from you. I have been talking to Sue Walters in England, and she has mentioned your name. From the information Sue has passed to me The earliest Knopp was Thomas, who married Esther Shore in 1746.

Thomas and Esther had Isaac, William, Elizabeth and James.

Isaac had two marriages; 1. to Mary (Sue's ancestor) and 2. to Ann Rush.

Isaac and Ann had Mary, Ann, William1 (born 1792 died 1796) and William2 (born 1799).

William married Hannah or Anna Roberson in 1833 and their children were William, Sarah, George, Mary and Eliza.

George married Caroline Edmeads and one of their children Ellen married William Goode. These were my grandparents.

Until the advent of Sue, I had only gone as far back as William and Hannah,so she has been a font of wisdom for me.
She has also mentioned a person named Fred, who Sue thinks may have more detailed Knopp information than her, but I haven't made contact with him.

Where do you fit into the picture Margaret? Are you descended from James? I would be interested to hear whether your research agrees with the above. My address in Melbourne is 10 Colwyn Court, Donvale, Victoria 3111.

Look forward to hearing from you again.

Bruce Goode
