Hi Robert,

Yes this is the same Adam Knopp. Adam married my great-great grandfather's sister, Amanda Tandy. Since this posting that you responded to, I have learned some more about the Knopps.

Are you directly related to Adam and Amanda? If so, how? Or are you directly related to one of Adam's siblings?

I know that Adam and Amanda had the following children: Catherine, Edward, Marion, Ida Ellen, Attar, Joseph E, Ernest G, Virginia Mary, Flossie Agnes, Herbert L, Paul Albert, and John. The information I have on each of these children ranges from "none" to "some!"

I know that Adam and Amanda are buried in Our Lady of the Hills Cemetery in Taylor County, Kentucky, but they do not have a headstone.

Adam was actually born in New York. Amanda died May 12, 1944. Yes, I have Adam's father as John W. Knopp and his mother was Margaret Miller. I have that John was born about 1816 in Germany and he died about Dec 1891 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

Do you live around Campbellsville, Kentucky?

If you want some of the info that I have, let me know and I will share it with you. If you know more about some of Adam and Amanda's children, will you share it with me?

Thanks,
Carrie
