Hi Jennifer, My grandfather, Edward Knopp had a brother named Albert Knopp. Edward lived in Poland and moved to Inglis, Manitoba in 1927 after receiving word from his brother Sam and his mother, Pauline of the opportunities in Manitoba. In 1946 another brother of Edwards, Albert sent him an invitation to come to British Columbia. There were 5 brothers and 5 sisters in the family. They are as follows: Sam, Albert, Gus(tov), Fred, Melya (Millie), Olga, Pauline, Lena and Julie. Their parents were Jacob Knopp and Pauline Muntich. I believe that my Albert was born Abt. 1904. I believe that Albert's family did farming in the Surrey B.C. area. Let me know if any of this sound familiar.
