William Knott Jr. of St. Mary's and Montgomery Co., MD

I'm trying to determine who is the father of William Knott, Jr. (b. 1732 St. Mary's Co., MD and died 1802 Montgomery Co., MD). He was marrie4d to Mary Mattingly.

I believe he is the son of William Knott, Sr. (b. bef. 1697 St. Mary's Co., MD and died bef. 1737 St. Mary's Co., MD) and was married to Ann Mattingly.

William named five children in his will (he had 12) and referred to the rest of them as "the rest of my children."

William Jr. would only have been about 5 years old when his father passed. I don't know if his mother remarried or not. Looking for anything that would tie these two people together or point in another direction.
