I have attached a write-up in an old newspaper about the Knott- Bruce wedding.

Bruce – Knott Wedding

May 2, 1895 – Nashville Banner

At 6:45o’clock last evening Miss Christina G. Bruce and Mr. L. E. Knott were united in marriage at the West Nashville Methodist Church. The church was filled with friends of the contracting parties long before the hour appointed for the ceremony. The decorations in the church were pretty, while prevailing. Miss Rosa Green presided at the organ and played “Call Me Thine Own” march as the bridal party entered the church. The bridal couple were preceded by the ushers. Messrs. James Burns, Hewlett Sawrie, Charles Reed and Walter Bruce. The bridal couple were met at the altar by Rev. J.D. Steele, of the first Cumberland Church, who performed the ceremony. The bride was attired in white crepon prettily trimmed with lace and ribbon and carrying in her hand a bunch of bridal roses. The bridal couple left the altar to the music of Mendelssohn’s Wedding March. They then repaired to the home of Mr. And Mrs. L.H. Davis where congratulations were extended by their friends. From there they were accompanied to the Chattanooga depot leaving for Mound City, Illinois. The bride is a very popular and highly accomplished young lady. Mr. Knott is an employee of the Rankin Manufacturing Company and is highly esteemed by all who know him. Mr. and Mrs. Knott will be at home to their friends on Tenth Street and Georgia Avenue on May 14.
