Daniel Knowlton was born Ashford, CT served in the provincial militia during the seige of Ft Louisbourg in 1745, moved with his family in 1759 to Onslow, Nova Scotia. Then in 1783 was granted land at Ft. Sackville .. at that time part of Nova Scotia, and now is in New Brunswick, I think. He married [2nd] Mary Scott .... are they buried near Sackville ... are there any records of his living there other than the original grant of 2000 acres?? Where would the town records be, now .?? Any information on descendants other than his daughter Eleanor [ my line] ??
