I agree. I have found some very odd little things in this collection. Something along the line of mis-labeling a child, for instance "Hannah" is not a son. I have found a few booboos, some I've fixed, some I've left. Sometimes they have a marriage listed twice, for instance, with the first name of the bride different in each entry. I copy it as is and let the viewer decide what to do with the info.
Barbour is also not complete. However, as with so many other things, it's a jumping off spot; something to work with and we DO know some of it is dead right. We just aren't sure which. The people recording this stuff did the best they could, but some of them may not have known the correct spelling, etc. etc. etc.
