Joanne, thank you for the information concerning the family of Daniel Knowlton, Sr. & Jr. fills a hole in my knowledge of the Knowltons.
Concerning the 2nd wife of Daniel Knowlton, Sr.... she was born Mary Edmunds [thank you for the names of her parents] then married Joseph Scott, who was also from the Ware River area of Massachusetts , and went to Nova Scotia in command of the unit, Scott's Rangers which contained Daniel K. Both men seem to have settled in the Truro, Colchester, area. Then Scott died and so did Zerviah Knowlton ... and Mary Edmunds Scott and Daniel married in 1762. The rest is as you know it.
Some of this information is from Fred Crowell's book, 'New Englanders in Nova Scotia', and and an article in the publication for the Royal Society of Canada [1912] titled, The Settling of Colchester county, Nova Scotia, by New England Puritans and Ulster Scotsmen Arthur Wentworth Hamilton Eaton.
