Elizabeth and Curtis,

I've been on a short vacation and just got back to find the correspondence between the two of you regarding Knowlton and Bemis genealogy. It's been very informative reading, and I appreciate the information contained in the messages.

I'm working from the compilation of facts put together by Dean Knowlton Featherly (Cecelia Adelaide Knowlton's daughter, and James Monroe Knowlton's granddaughter). This hand-written and later typed book has been copied and handed down through several generations. And while it does contain priceless information, in several instances it is only in the direct line; no siblings are noted. And, I believe there may be a generation missing in the Knowlton line... hard to tell when every generation seems to descend from yet another John Knowlton. Although, according to this book there is a Daniel in there somewhere.

I'm looking forward to finding the books you mentioned, Elizabeth. Any suggestions on the best place to look for them? Or is the library adequate?

As for the Bemis line, Curtis, If you're interested I can share with you what I have in the family book; siblings do seem to be included in this line.

Thank you both for your valuable contributions, and if you don't mind, may I call upon your assistance in the future as I try to sort my way through these family lines?

Thank you.
