Anyone come across;
KNOWLTON, Miner, soldier, born in Connecticut in 1804; died in Burlington, New Jersey, 25 December, 1870. He was graduated at the United States military academy in 1829, and commissioned a lieutenant in the 1st artillery, to which regiment he was attached till he was retired, rising to the grade of captain in 1846.
