Ezekiel was the son of Mrs. Anna pierce of Manchester, mass., and after the marriage of his mother to Jeremiah Knowlton march 12, 1778, became known by the surname of his stepfather. He married mary (called Polly - mac) Knowlton (#701 Stocking) in 1794, not 1795. His descendants are therefore Knowltons on their mother's side.
