Hi Joy. I am looking for a C.C. Knowlton who is maybe from Upton Mass. Upton is very near the Worcester Railroad and he might have taken that train. I noticed a C.C. Knowlton is buried in the Antietam National Cemetery. This individual was from Mass (maybe my home town of Upton), fought this battle and died there. Could it be the same? In the Upton Town Common is a statute dedicated to the town's sons who fought and died in the war between the states. At the base of the statute are all the names. I do not know if C. Knowlton is listed there. Hope this helps and you see this posting.
