The Timothy you refer to (1768-1833) is the son of my Timothy Knowlton and Sarah Merrifield; son Timothy (1768-1833) had two wives: Eunice Rice and Sarah Baxter. Not my continuing line of Knowlton, so never tracked him. My line is his siter, Mary Knowlton who md. Jonas Clark and they eventually moved to/died in Michigan.

Timothy Knowlton who md. Sarah Merrifield is the one who lived in Rhode Island but only because he was living in the part of Mass. that was annexed to R.I. - he did not move there from Mass.

I have had the VRs of Knowltons in Rowe for several years, and they do fit my family of Knowltons..I just still do not know who the grandson Harry Butler is who died the same day as his granfather, Timothy Knowlton.

The Timothy Knowlton I am looking for now, for the quit claim deed is mentioned on page 166 of the Supplement, said deed mentioned in the will of John Knowlton who made his will 1713 and who died in 1728, married to Bethia Edwards and Susanna (More) (Dutch) Hutton. I suspect the deed has to have been done in Ipswich.

The other locations and names you mentioned do not mean anything to me - have no connection to them. Mary (Knowlton) Clark was my last connection to the Knowltons. She and Jonas Clark are buried in Clinton County, Michigan.
