Your Nellie Knowlton was born July 15, 1869 per Stocking and was dau of Julius Augustus Knowlton and Mary Ellen Blackmur. She had a brother Frank Hall Knowlton.

Julius A. was son of John Knowlton and Betsey Wright.
John was son of Abraham and Ann (Mrs. Taylor at m.)
Abraham was son of John and Lucy
John was son of John and Elizabeth Hilton
That John was son of John and Elizabeth Batchelder
He was son of John and Bethia Edwards
That John was son of the mythical William and Elizabeth

William was said to be son of William and Ann E. Smith, but DNA now disputes that claim.

Nellie’s brother is mentioned in the following:

(Hull Pub. Library '95):
Frank Hall Knowlton, b. Sept 2, 1860, Brandon, Vermont, son of Julius Augustus Knowlton and Mary Ellen Blackmur; d. Nov 22, 1926, Ballston, Vermont.
Married wife #1, Annie Sterling Moorhead, m. Sept 27, 1887; she died 1890.
married wife #1, Rena Genevieve Ruff, Oct. 3, 1893.
Paleontologist and Botanist, professor Columbia University (now George Washington Univ.). Was conferred PHD 1896. One of the founders of Paleontological Society of America.
Lived in Laurel, Maryland many years, died in Ballston, Vermont (lived there last few years)
