I am seeking contact with persons who descend from JOSEPH KNUST, born 1854 Germany. He came to America in the late 1870's and worked as a farm laborer in McLennan County, Texas, later settling in Clifton, Bosque County, Texas, where he was farmer, and where he married and raised his children.

My 3rd great-grandafather was William Entrop (Wilhelm Eulentrop), born 1854, Geseke, Westfalen, Germany. His parents were Kasper Anton and Maria Knust Eulentrop. Tradition states that he came to America with his cousin, Joe Knust. Will Entrop arrived in America through the Port of New Orleans in 1881, and it appears that cousin Joe Knust more than likely came from old country shortly before him. Will Entrop settled in McLennan County, Texas, where he worked as a farm laborer and shepherd for Edward Deiterman. In 1882, he eloped with his his employer's daughter, Katie Deiterman, and moved to St. Louis, Mo. The Entrop family later returned to McLennan Co., Texas, by 1892. The Entrop's moved to Falls County, Texas, ca. 1906, where William and wife Katie remained until their deaths.

In 1917, Will Entrop, Jr., was working as a farm laborer for Joe Knust, his father's cousin, in Clifton, Texas.

Any knowledge and insight into the JOSEPH KNUST FAMILY of CLIFTON TX and their relationship with their ENTROP cousins is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.
