I haven't enough information yet to tie my Koepke's to yours. My great grandmother's married name was Koepke. (Sophie). In a confirmation certificate, written in German, it shows the name as Woejke. Hence, a bit of a mystery to us, as it sounds Polish. Family stories suggest she was from Schlessweig (forgive spelling) Holstein area in Germany. Have you ever run across other derivations such as this for Koepke? Do you know anything about origin of Koepke name?

Would appreciate keeping in touch.

Nancy Benson
