My great-great-grandparents, came from Prussia, relatives says possibly Kiev, in 1854, died at sea, buried at sea. Did your relatives arrive via New York or Halifax or Quebec City, Canada. Do you know the boat they came on? My relatives had two children that became orphans, one found a family in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario Canada. The daughter was either adopted or a foster children in the USA and no one knows her whereabouts. How do I find the passenger ship lists from the USA or ships arriving in Canada. Did your family depart from Hamburg, Germany? Any information would help.
Thanks... Mabel
