Thanks so much for your information. What is your source for this information? I believe there is some inaccuracy in the information in regards to George Koger/Koogler md. to Elizabeth Bear. George Koogler who married Elizabeth Bear was born in 1745 and died in 1820. Therefore, he could not have been the son of Josias Koger. However, Josias Koger have a son sometime referred to as George Nicholas Koger. I would speculate that George Koogler who married Elizabeth Bear may have been the son of George Nicholas Koger or possibly a son of Nicholas' brother Jacob. However, no one has been able to provide any evidence of this.

I agree with the information you provided with the exception of the George Koogler md. Elizabeth Bear references. Elizabeth Bear (born 1754) was the daughter of Jacob Bear Sr. (1724- 1788) and Anna Barbara Miller. With careful charting you can see how the generations are off and the Elizabeth Bear and Nicholas Koger marriage doesn't work.

I greatly appreciate your response, so do not take this note as a statement of disagreement. I am just wondering from where your information came? Could there be a missing generation as I speculate? Where did you get your information on George Nicholas Koger md. to Elizabeth Bear?

Would greatly appreciate hearing further from you on this matter. This subject of my ancestor George Koogler has been bothering me for some time. I feel very certain he fits into the Koger Family but haven't obtained the proof.

Thanks
Brent Rodes
