I am still looking for Kogers. My grandmother was Mattie Sue Koger. She married William Creed Martin on 12-2-1909. She had 3 boys, Ernest William (my father, Clairance Pettry(died at 9 months) and Harrison Beecher(died at 17 years). Mattie Sue Koger Martin's mother was Ruth Jane Dillon she married Dillard Koger, they had 1 girl (Mattie Sue) and 2 boys Charlie and Green Koger. Dillard died ?????. Ruth married Abe Spencer and they had two children, Luther and Victoria. All are now gone. I went to Sanville, Va this past Sunday to visit Uncle Luther's son Cecil. Sanville is about 1 mile from all of these towns, Martinsville, Bassett, Stuart, Fieldale, and Horsepasture. My dad was actually born in Horsepasture, VA. Most of the Koger decendant from my family are in Old Center Prim Bapt Ch. or Pleasant Grove in Sansville, VA. or in private cemetaries in their backyards.
