I believe I found Dillard Koger. Typical of names in that part of the country, he was called by his middle name.
My clue was when Barbara gave his initials as C. D. Koger in another post.

Henry County Marriage by Ann Vestal-Millier (1998) shows the name as Chas. D. Koger (thus, Charles Dillard). He is given as s/o John S. and S. I. Koger.
