I have that Elizabeth Koger and her husband Josiah Slaughter were both natives of Henry Co. VA and part of the wagon train from VA to Mo. She was the mother of six children; two sons and four daughters. Her children are double first cousins with those of her brother Joseph Koger of VA married to Ruth Slaughter. Ruth and Josiah Slaughter were brother and sister.

Joseph Koger and his wife Ruth Slaughter , lived all his life in henry Co. and was the father of 5 sons and 2 daughters. Two of his unmarried sons, Daniel King Koger and James Madison Koger were Confederate soldiers and were killed in the Civil 'War.
Joseph Koger was born on September 2, 1796. On August 22, 1826 he was married to Miss Ruth Slaughter in a double wedding ceremony at which time his older brother Jacob Koger married Miss Siani Philpott. Later his younger sister Elizabeth Koger married Josiah Slaughter.
His sons were (1)John Slaughter Koger who was called by the nickname "Bucket" (2)William Lee Koger (3)Joseph Henry Koger (4)Daniel King Koger (5) James Madison Koger.
His daughters were (1) Mary Ann Koger that was married to William P. Ingram (2) Martha Catherine Koger that was married to James Robert Via. Fanell Scudder
