There always seems to be more than one place with the same name, often located fairly close to each other! That was my result for Marianovka at Shtetl Seeker (an excellent site for finding these "old" villages and towns).

Searching for a town is easiest at that website I find, when you use the Google link (search term shtetl seeker) shown first "The JewishGen Shtetl Seeker" and then choose "Search for places by name".

My Kogut line lived in the small village of Shveykiv (Szwejkow when Polish)in Monastyrskiy raion, Ternopil oblast -- in the late 1800s, early 1900s.
