I am doing Kolakowski research also. My grandfather, Boleslaw (William) Kolakowski came to Poland with his father, Adam, when he was a boy. We believe they came through Ellis Island in 1895 when Adam was 28 years old. One of my uncles is named Frank, so I believe that one of my Greatgrandfather's could have had a brother named Frank also. The year you mentioned would make that possible. It could be the same man. We know that they lived in the Detroit area at some point. My grandfather, William, lived mostly in New York and Pennsylvania, but we know he was in MI at one time as well.

I am happy to share any information I find and would love to hear what you have found. Good luck!

Kim Kolakowski Williams currently residing in Georgia
