Frank Koller of San Francisco was my paternal grandfather. You are right about the Czechoslovakia/Hranice/Weisskirchen connection. But Karl Koller was Frank's (as well as Stella's and Karl's) uncle, not his father. His father was Charles Edward Koller, who I'm told immigrated with his brother Karl. I'm wondering if this Karl is the eye surgeon Karl Koller who introduced codeine as an anethesthetic for eye surgery in 1884.
