I think I have found a link that will extend several generations. I checked for Mary Elizabeth Konz b.28 Apr 1885 TX and d. 1974. Several possibles were found.

One is very interesting; a pedigree chart from the Wolken, Lickteig, Schneider and related families. On it, Elizabeth Maria 'Lizzie' Konz (b. 28 Apr 1885 in Marienfeld, TX) was the daughter of John Joseph Konz, Jr. (b. 03 Jan 1885 married 09 Jun 1881) and Anna Brummel (b. 22 Mar 1862 d. 25 Aug 1895).

If this is true, then I call link to John Joseph Konz. John Joseph Konz (b. 03 Jan 1858 in Dubois Cty, IN d. 1927 in Independence, Montgomery Cty, KS) married Anna Maria Brummell. His parents were John Joseph Konz (b. 13 Feb 1819 in Durnkonreuth, Bavaria d. 13 Nov 1883 in Marienfeld, Martin Co, TX) married Anna Maria Thinnes (b. 05 Mar 1824 in Wittersheim, Bavaria d. 26 Mar 1915 in Stanton, Martin Co, TX). His parents were Johann Anton Konz and Magdelena Frank.

John Joseph Konz [Jr's] brother was John Benedict Konz (b. 13 Apr 1853 in Dubois Co, IN d. 16 Jul 1941 in Independence, Montgomery Co, KS.) married Elizabeth Kratzberg (b. 22 Mar 1857 in St. Charles Co, MO d. 29 Dec 1941 Independence KS). One of their daughters was my grandmother, Clara Sophia Konz. She married Theodore Hargraves Hammett. One of their sons was my father, John Paul Hammett who married Joyce Sidney Self.

Our (yours and mine) family ancestors founded Stanton, TX. Which if you have ever been there is not much. Our side left Stanton about 1890-1892, I think. Hope this info helps.
