Hi, My name is Melanie. My great, great grandmother was named Flora Fowler. She was born in Kentucky and later moved West to Widier, California. Where she married my grandfather William Ursa McNay. She died early and my grandfather remarried leaving my grandmother Flora Maxine and sisters and brothers in an orphanage that he paid for. I know my grandfather had many relatives in Texas. He died in LA, California. around mid 1900's . Could I be related to the people who started this museum. I am an Artist and a teacher. I would really like to know.
Please forward this message to anyone who knows a lot about the history of the McNay's and see if they had any cousins or relatives under William Ursa McNay or Flora McNay (Fowler)
She died when my grandmother was only six years old. My grandmother remembers visiting relatives in Texas. She said that she knew her relatives came across the sea with Lord Baltimore's son into Maryland. She also knew she had some very rich relatives. My grandmother's mom, Flora, died when she was very young, when my great, great grandfather, William Ursa McNay remarried, his knew wife didn't want the kids. The kids were sent to an orphanage, and my grandfather paid a lot of money to keep them there. My grandmother doesn't have very much information for me. She would like to know more, as would I, about our relatives. My grandmother, William Ursa McNay's first wife, was very beautiful. I think the McNay's who started the museum were my great grandmother's or grandfather's cousins. They were very much into the arts.
Here are some other names she recalls, but I don't know if these names are from her mom the Fowler side or her dad's side, Willam Ursa MccNay. Any help would greatly be appriciated.
Niami, Anna MAy cousin, Martha's daughter?, Minnie Fowllre, Nelie,
Any help would be appreciated.
Melanie firstname.lastname@example.org William Ursa McNAy or Flora McNAy (Fowler) Cousin's of the McNAy's who started the museum? Need information on my relatives. My grandmother has little information to give me because her mom died when she was very young and her dad remarried and the knew wife didn't want William Ursa McNay's kids (4 all together only two now living).
