I have information regarding Thomas Koon of LaGrange County Indiana, thought it might be helpful to you. I found this information while researching the Coryell family in LaGrange County.

Thomas Koon married Catharine Coryell in 1840. Catharine died in 1853 at age 35. To our knowledge Thomas and Catharine had no living children. Both Thomas & Catharine are buried in Lot 311 the Pierce Witmere Cemetary in LaGrange, there is also an Emma Koon buried in Lot 311, and a Matilda Koon in Lot 312 (could this be Thomases mother?) Thomas died in March of 1897 at age 85. We do not know if he ever remarried.

In the 1840 Indiana census Thomas is listed as living with the Abram Coryell household (Catharine's father). Then In the 1850 Indiana census he is head of household, living with his wife Catharine and her two teenage sisters, Elizabeth and Martha along with John Koon age 27, birthplace Pennsylvania (which we asume is Thomases brother).

Then in a Michigan marriage index for the years between 1832 and 1887 we found a listing for Martha Coryell to Joseph Koon. This was in St. Joseph County Michigan which neighbors LaGrange County Indiana. Which was a surprise because at the time of Martha's death her last name was Cox and lived in Ohio. This information was just recently found, and we have not had a chance confirm whether it is our same Coryell family.

I have information on the three Coryell sisters, Catharine, Elizabeth and Martha. However, we have lost track of the father Abram who moved to Oregon with his two sons George & Lewis. I have never had any information on Catharine's mother, and was hoping I could find something by way of the Koon family connection.
