We believe the one year old infant was Catharine's niece (Elizabeth Coryell's daughter) Eliza who was born in 1849. So Matilda may have been a child of Catharine and Thomas, or she may have been a relative to Thomas, perhaps mother or an aunt.
Do you know anthing about Martha Coryell marrying Joseph Koon. I know that Catharine died in 1852 and Elizabeth married Samuel Goodell in February of 1852 and along with her daughter Eliza moved to Allegan, Michigan. So that leaves Martha who would have been about 17. The Michigan Marriage Index from 1832 to 1887 lists Martha marrying a Joseph Koon. Do you think he was a brother to Thomas and John? It seems like too much of a coincidence for it not to be the same family.
