To all who responded to this posting:

E. W. Koon was a child of David Luther Koon. David had a brother (Obidiah Noel Koon) who was my maternal great-grandfather. I would like to correspond with any who have interest in sharing information about this family starting with the David-Obidiah generation and working backwards.

I have photos of David Luther, Obidiah, their sister (Susan) and their father. Also photos of gravesites. I have Civil War records of David and Obidiah's three older brothers (John, Richard, George).

Would particularly like to address the identification of David Luther's mother if anyone wants to work with me on that as there is information posted on the Internet I cannot yet accept.

Would also particularly like to have good photographs of David's wives. I only have one, not a great photograph and not even sure which wife she is.

Also, if anyone has any information about Obidiah's minor children and any period of time one or more of them lived in David's home following the death of their parents and before they were placed in an orphanage, I would like to know about it.

A particularly good way to share information would be to form a "mail group" and let all correspondence go to all members. That way everyone gets everything. Others can then join the group as they wish. I've had good results with that technique for other family lines.

Finally, I would appreciate it if someone could locate a lady with whom I had a brief correspondence years ago who, I think, would be interested in all of this. Her name is Martha (Koon) Cristo and she was located in Baldwyn MS at that time.
