I have some info on the Koonse's. I have Isabelle (Baily we believe) married Stephen Koonse. They married in 1869. Their children were as follows:

Robert H Koonse
Married Margaret Jane (Jennie) Hunter b: 1/6/1872
d: 12/22/1943 - she was born in Victory Twp

Ralph Koonse
The Obit for Isabelle and Stephen list Ralph living in Bullion.

Ross Monton Koonse b:1881 m: 8/28/1902
Married Anna Katherine Mulligan
They moved to Salem, WV

I have an index of Marriages from Franklin County.
It list the following:
Lawrence R Koonse married Hazel V Davis in 1909
Robert H Koonse married Jennie Hunter in 1895
Ross Koonse married Anna K Mulligan in 1902

I also checked on on LDS site under Lawrence and they have a Lawrence born in 1888 and dying in 1965 the same dates you have for Ralph.

It is only speculation that my line of Koonse's used their middle names.

My Grandfather was William Chester Koonse and he went by Ches or Chet. He is the son of Ross Monton Koonse and he went by Monton.

We have the Marriage liscence of Ross and Anna and it list his father as William Koonse. We also have an obit that say's his father's name was Stephen.

It seems ironic that you are looking for a Hazel that married a Ralph and a Lawrence R married a Hazel with a different last name.

All the information I have came from the Franklin Library in Franklin, PA.

I also have some early maps of Venago County that shows the land plots and who they are owned by. If I come across any Urey's I will let you know.

Take care
Laura Frey
