John, it's good to see your name again. I thought I would take this opportunity to thank you once more for the help you gave me a few years ago regarding Zenos Koonce.

After neglecting my Koonce ancestry for quite a while I began a few days ago studying grant and deed abstracts from Craven and Jones Counties to prove to myself and to find the documentation showing that Alice Koonce was correct in her "Koonce History."

With all the Georges and Johns it becomes very confusing but thanks to word processor programs and the search capability it becomes a little less complicated to take individual tracts of land and trace them through their owners. I am now convinced that my line is Johan > George > John > George > Zenos > John Philip, John Fredrick (MS & TX), etc.

I have one question: What happened to George, the son of the child immigrant George?
