Frederick County land records HS book 1 page 308
William Koontz of Wm. obtained a mortgage from Abraham Koontz of Wm. and Thomas Hook Jan. 19th, 1836
Obviously this could be William Henry KOONTZ
There is several records for William in the land records. Do you have any other information on Henry or William, like the area of Carrol or Frederick Maryland they may have lived. Names of possible land tracts ? There is several family members who lived near Taneytown and Pipe Creek.Others move just a little further into Maryland near Libertytown. I suspect this is William Henry Koontz Junior based on equity cases listed inthe Book of Descents - 1794 - 1837.
Equity case KEMP, Peter, d/ Feb 1811, intestate - (Pg 184-188)list Henry Koontz Junior as one of the commissioners.
The following equity case links Abraham and Henry Koontz
together.
