Hi MaryBeth,

My Great Grandfather, Heinrich August Kopf was been born in Ihlienworth Germany on December 16, 1864 to a Margarete Rebecka Kopf. According to his birth certificate, he was a bastard child.

He is apparently the nephew of a Christina, who ended up marrying a Claus Umland, and Dora who married a Herman Glick.

It is believed he immigrated in 1879 about a year after his aunt Christina came to America. I have a note here that says Dora, August(my GGrandfather), William and Marie made their home with Christina and Claus Umland when they came to America.

If any of this makes sense with any of the info you have, perhaps we should talk!

Thanks!

Dan
