This line is in my research. I am interested in the documentation for your Custer names.
I am stuck on documentation for my 3rd great grandfather, Emanuel Custer who m. Ann Miller.
I have found the two in the Allegany Co., MD deeds, etc. c1800 forward.

This line is believed to be my next step back. However, this line is a German family that came over in the Revolution.

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 96, page 154
Mrs. Carrie Custer Copeland.

2. Stephen G. R. Custer (1798-1847) m. 1819 Nancy Brawford (1802-36).
3. Jacob Custard m. 1776 Margaret Lear (1759-1838). Jacob Custard (1750-1833) was living in Rockingham County, Va., 1775, when he was drafted, serving in the Virginia militia. In 1832 he applied for a pension. His claim was allowed. He was born in Germany; died in Perry County, Ohio.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
