Hello Again Roger, I checked when my Dad joined the Army and it was his 17th birthday(Was ranked as Private E-1 Regular Army). He was discharged one day before his 20 Birthday (pretty sure still as PFC). This is what was on the section of "Most significant Duty assignment" 6013 ASU STA COMP HQ DET Fort Lawton, Washington I also viewed the a patches on the website. In a pivture of my Dad in uniform, he has one patch on the top of his shoulder with an arrow type bar (Like what the sargeants where but only one stripe) If you dont mind, I can e-mail you the 3 pictures of him in his uniform. Only 2 really show his patches, and the pictures are not real large. I tried to view the one hanging on our wall, and it still looks like the Army 25th Division Patch. I thought it might be some kind of road going down the patch, but it could be a lightning bar like on the 25th. But I wouldn't know why the DD 214 has differant...maybe a typo error? I know the DD 215 was a correction on his medals earned. I do have his military card somewhere but not sure exactly 'which box' lol I thought maybe if someone seen the patch they might be able to recognize it. I do have some of his medals, I have his Army Of Occupation, and 3 bars with smaller medals on that bar. One is a red white and blue, with another next to it with one star. They are pretty old so not sure what color the star should be. He has another red white and blue on the longest bar(same as above) and a few others including one with the 3 stars. I do not have his medals for his marksman or the other. Thank You for your time, Teri Notify Administrator about this message?
