If you go to google.com and type in military medals and ribbons look around there and different ones trying to sell medals and you can find a picture it would be the WW2 Occucpation Medal. He just had to be in Germany 30 days before 1955. As for the UN medal he would have had to have been in Korea or off the coast of Korea between 1950 and 1954.
