Doris,I believe that "CIE" should be "CIB", Combat Infantry Badge, KSM w/r bz stars is Korean Service Medal w/5 campaign stars, (in country during 5 major campaigns), and the United Nations Service Medal is self explanitory. He should also have had the National Defense Service Medal and, the recently issued, Republic of Korea War Service Medal. E-6 would be a Master Sargent.
