I also believe Elizabeth Kornegay was a McGary. The grave of Brigette Lamb McGary is in the Old Bosqueville cemetery near Waco, Tx. near the grave of David Smith Kornegay. The marker lists her as the mother-in-law of David S. Kornegay. David S. fought in the Battle of San Jacinto and the state of Texas erected his grave marker because he is a veteran of the Texas war for independence with Mexico.
