The Elizabeth Wiggins who married Jacob Kornegay was a daughter of Willis Wiggins, not William Wiggins. A Wayne County deed in which Jacob and Elizabeth Kornegay deed land to their son Bryan proves it. The land is noted as having come to Elizabeth from her deceased father, Willis Wiggins. Also, the Elizabeth Wiggins named here is clearly too young to have been Jacob's wife. Jacob and Elizabeth had children as early as about 1806, so Elizabeth could not have been born as late as 1796.
