I too am descended from Wyatt Y. KORNEGAY through his dau Mattie Rebecca (KORNEGAY)NOBLIN. I have collected much information on the KORNEGAY family who came to New Bern, Duplin Co NC in 1710 with the DeGraffenreid Company, but have been blocked for years trying to determine the maiden name of Mary------b. 1820 NC who married Wyatt Y. KORNEGAY about 1838 in NC and came to Palo Alto Community of Oktibbeha Co MS by 1849, which later became Clay Co MS. Family is listed on the 1840 Duplin Co NC Census. No marriage record has been found. It has been suggested that Mary may have been a DICKSON but so far no documentation has been found. I would love to be able to extend my family record and solve the mystery of who Mary(--------)KORNEGAY was. Any help appreciated.
