Charles Kornegay, African-American, Alabama 1870

Does anyone have any information on Kornegay slaves or freedmen residing in North Alabama? I specifically looking for relatives of Charles Kornegay, 64 (born in North Carolina) and his wife Mary who appear on the 1870 Census in Tuscumbia. Charles also had a son, Jeremiah or Jerry. Both men lived in Tuscumbia and then later, South Florence, where they were sharecroppers. Also living with Charles and Mary is Ann Houston, 60 (also born in North Carolina). Any evidence of the Houston and Kornegay families with a union or any information on slaves would be greatly appreciated.
