My great-grandmother, MARY KATHERINE KORNEGAY was the wife of BYRD ALEXANDER BOYKIN, Jr. They had nine children: Tom Monroe, Byrd Alexander III, Jennie, Edward Augusta, James Lee Roy, Benjamin Horace, Sue Ima, Willard Chandler and then my grandfather, Calvin Clay Boykin, Sr. I don't know anything about the KORNEGAY family. I have seen a few pictures, thanks to my grandmother's photo albums she kept as a young woman. They lived in Miles, Runnels Co., Texas. Does anyone know of anyone related to the KORNEGAYS? I am also researching the BOYKIN family and having some luck there, but I don't really have any leads with my great-grandmother's family.
My sister and I drove through Miles this past summer. It was wonderful to see so many people working so hard to keep this little town going. Loved the library with the honor system!
