Hi: My Great Great Grandfather was Basil Kornegay, son of George Kornegay III (1760-1822). His Father was George Kornegay, Jr. (1735-1808). His Father was George Kornegay, Sr. (1700 - 1773), the only surviving member of the Kornegay family in the Indian slaughter of 1711 in Craven County, North Carolina, where his Father, John George Kornegay who came over from Kornigsburge, Germany died.

My name is Diane Giddens and my line eventually settled in Georgia. Maybe I can fill in some gaps, if need be.
