Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
For those who may be interested: contrary to apparently widespread popular belief, Esther Aldridge (Wooten) Kornegay, wife of Isaac Kornegay, did not die in childbirth as written by J.B. Quinn in his online Kornegay Bridge book, nor did she die in Duplin, NC. She died in Jefferson Co., FL, in 1847. Her will was probated 3/13/1847. She moved to Florida after Isaac's death, with her two daughters by him, Caroline and Clarissa, to be near her "Wooten" sons. Clarissa married my great-great-grandfather, William Thomas Taylor, (a Methodist Circuit Rider and brother of Esther's Executor, Joshua Taylor). They lived in Leon Co., FL and Thomas County, GA. for the rest of their lives.
