I have relatives with the surnane spelled, "Kassik" and pronounced as if "Kossik" (with a short sound "o" and "i").

They immagrated from Kolin, Czeckoslavakia
and setttled near Blue Rapids, Kansas about 1865.

Could my relatives be of the same family as the "Kosek"?
